The new crop of New Mexico sun-dried dried red chile pods are available for shipping to our Sichler Farms customers. The 1 lb. packages of chile pods have the stems and the seeds.
To clean - just pop off the stem and shake out the seeds, and they are ready to process to make that rich, red New Mexico sauce.
The red chile pods are used to make a wonderful red chile sauce that can be added to almost any dish, and are especially good on red chile enchiladas, tamales, in frito pies or on Huevos Rancheros.
Received the shipment in good time, considering current shipping delays. Made a batch of red chile sauce, and used the sauce to make red chile pork enchiladas NM style. The sauce was delicious, just the right heat level, and set off the pork perfectly. Reminds me of being in New Mexico, eating red chile. The only concern that I have is that I probably didn't buy enough!
Very happy with this year’s dried red chile. Still fresh. I let someone talk me into buying green chile from Rosales this year. Was really disappointed. I will definitely go back to Sichlers again. The best in valley.
